What is BWP and BWR Plywood?

BWP (Boiling Water Proof) Marine Plywood (IS:710) is manufactured with phenol-formaldehyde resin under high heat and pressure, making it genuinely waterproof. It can survive prolonged water immersion without delamination. BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) Plywood is a lesser specification — moisture resistant but not waterproof.
